JISC Digital Media has an excellent library of advice about digital media. The advice covers areas ranging from managing media collections, to technical production of media to pedagogic advice on powerpoint.
As the documents are about advice they don't necessarily give specifics on how to do X or what equipment you need to buy to film Y, although they do have some case studies. The advice documents do provide a good starting point for what to consider. If you need help with a specific situation then their helpdesk provides free advice.
Last week they posted another 10 advice documents looking at the role of digital media in teaching and learning. There are two of them which were immediately useful to for SQA Academy.
Moodle.org will soon be releasing Moodle 2.0 which changes the way files are stored so the article on Organising Digital Media Content in a VLE is a nice intro to the things we will have to consider.
We are also looking at how we can benefit from using online meeting software (think efficiencies people!) so the article on Providing Live Support to your Community over the Web has been useful.
The thing I like most about JISC advice articles is that they cover all the key areas of their topic, I often find they make me realise I've missed things out or not given them enough priority.
